Well, it goes a little beyond that. For example, FileMaker Pro is (4.1
with the plug-in or 5.0 natively) SQL comliant but that doesn't mean it
will just work on SQL Server or MySQL for that matter. It still requires
custom work for each SQL platform.

Actually you can use the free runtime for up to 4-5 concurrent employees,
so the cost is zero. While, I would definately recommend spending the
$248 for FileMaker Pro Server, it's not *required* though.

FileMaker Pro 5.0 is natively SQL compliant, so it will be there even if
we didn't want it (of course we WOULD though). :-)
