Damn, that bites. Took your advice and wrote a script to take command
line arguments for placing (removing) users on hold. It places
(removes) an asterisk in front of the password. Can have many users on
the command line after the switch for placing (removing) users on hold
in one sweep. Just have to do one at a time I suppose . . .

It runs only on BSDI systems do to some of the routines already on a
BSDI box.
