Realtime Credit Card Processing
Realtime credit card processing is a beautiful thing (no, importing and exporting of transaction files is not what we're talking about when we say realtime). Let your billing system talk directly to your merchant account over TCP/IP and process transactions in 1-2 seconds. Approved transactions are automatically posted and applied to invoices. A declined credit card can automatically trigger a notice to the customer. (Optigold supports non-realtime processors/systems if you would prefer to go that route).

Flexible Invoicing
You tell Optigold what you want to do, and it simply does it. Optigold can invoice for any type of cycle (monthly, daily, hourly or any mixture), with different cycles allowed on a per customer basis. For that matter, you could let 'John Smith' be billed every 4 months, 11 days if you so desired.

Beyond recurring services, Optigold can invoice for one-time products/services, call detail (VoIP, FoIP, etc.), excessive usage for time based, secondary time (800 dialup or offpeak), bandwidth, disk space, etc.

Prorating
Forget about trying to calculate prorations. If you would like Optigold to prorate, you can tell it to prorate everyone to a certain day of the month and it does it. Prorating can happen up front, in the middle (2nd or 3rd month as the prorated month for example), it can even prorate at the end of a customer's service if they cancel in mid-service if you so desire.

You can prorate backward if you would like (for a credit/refund). Services added mid-cycle can be automatically prorated to fall in line with the customers normal billing cycle.

Finance Charges
With Optigold ISP, you have the ability to automatically assess finance charges on your customers. You can set the annual percentage rate, a minimum finance charge and even a minimum number of days between finance charges so customers don't receive finance charges too often.

Sales Tax
Optigold ISP has the ability to charge sales tax if needed. Specify sales tax on a customer and product level. You can even specify sales tax classes for different sale tax rates. International and secondary taxes are supported (such as PST/GST). Special 'Texas Taxes' are also fully supported.

Offer Codes
Extensive support for offer codes, gives you flexibility to run specials and automatically track where your customers heard about the specials. You can give customers offer codes (maybe in a print ad for example) that gives them a discount (or a certain amount of free service) by using it. Once an offer code is redeemed, you can automatically track where they found the offer code and report on it.

Offer codes can also be setup to be good for the first xxx customers by setting the remaining uses on the code. Or you can set them up to be date sensitive (good until a certain date). Another thing offer codes can be used for is to give the customer access to special products/services when they signup online.

Virtual Checks
By using Optigold, you can offer your customers the ability to pay by virtual checks. Virtual checks give you the ability to print a check to yourself from the customer and deposit that check into your bank account.

Virtual checks are treated like normal checks so it does not cost anything (beyond the cost of paper).

Prepaid Cards
Open up completely new business opportunities by accepting prepaid cards. Optigold has the ability to generate new cards (based on parameters you set), send them to be manufactured and then accept them (for new customers and/or existing customers as a form of payment).

Accounting Export
You have the ability to push data out to a designated external accounting system (QuickBooks, Peachtree, ACCPAC, etc.) Optigold automatically tracks what has already been sent, so that it does not send duplicate data (unless you want it to of course).

Customers, payments and invoices (with line items) can all be sent to your accounting system.
