While client/server is nice (and fast), sometimes a web interface to key functions is more convenient.
Give your customers access to view their account, manage their own emails, view usage history, etc.

Customer Interface You can give your customers the ability to check their accounts online. They can view things like payment history, invoice history and usage history. Customers can see what date they have paid for service up through, what the balance on their account is, etc. If you would like, you can give them the ability to manage their own email addresses (adding, deleting, changing passwords). You can even let customers go online and make a one-time credit card payment in realtime (maybe they are a cash/check customer that forgot to send in their payment this month). A survey can be taken by the customer that allows you to compile the results into handy marketing reports/charts. Or maybe you just want to let your customers edit their address info or credit card info as needed. All of it can be done with Optigold ISP. Online Signup Give yourself the ability to signup customers online. The online signup portion of Optigold ISP can do as much (or as little) of the signup process as you wish. Collect customer info, invoice customer, charge credit card and set new user up on system server(s) can all be done automatically. The customer can be completely ready to go with the services they selected (and paid for) without any employee intervention. The online signup also has complete support for the most popular CD signup systems out there (Gearbox, IEAK, Netsurfer, Total Internet, Connection Magic and ISP Register). Tech Support If your tech support personnel are in a remote location (or even if they are not), you can give them the ability to access and log support issues via the web interface. They can optionally view the customer's emails (with passwords), domains, broadband configuration, etc. Resellers/Salespeople Your sales force can log into their web interface to add or view their existing customers. You can optionally give them the ability to view their commissions (history, due and pending). If you want to give them added control, you can allow them to use the ISP Management web interface designed for virtual ISPs and outsourced billing. | | Dialup Number Locator Give your customers the ability to lookup dialup numbers by area code and/or prefix. Completely editable and manageable from within the normal Optigold ISP interface.Employee Planners If you so desire, employees can access their calendar/schedules from the web interface. Other employee's public items can be viewed as well. Timeclocks The employee timeclock system built into Optigold can be accessed from the web interface if you wish. Employees can clock-in, clock-out and check their total time clocked in for the day. Post Payments Your accounting department may be remote, and it may be quicker for them to post cash/check payments via a web browser. Optigold ISP allows them to use the web interface to post payments directly into the system. Troubleshooter If you would like to use the troubleshooter, Optigold can give access to it via the web for helping technicians (or customers) troubleshoot problems. Completely customizable and searchable with pictures. Whois Gateway If you (or your customers) quickly want to check the status of a domain, Optigold has a built-in whois gateway which gives quick access to perform a whois query. Modifiable The Optigold ISP web interface comes with full source-code, so you can change the look and feel of it to match your website if you wish. There is also a 3rd party product called OptiSkin, which changes the look and feel of Optigold ISP for you.
