i have the same opinion. Since i started using it i am very relaxed. many spam comments have been blocked by akismet. i have about 100 spam...
you can import posts, comments, and users from a Blogger blog by using "Manage -> Import -> Blogger" section on your wordpress blog dashboard.

As far as i know and i can see, you can use Kontera on Blogger. That's what i tried. For other programs i guess you will have to test.
Because people still think that DMOZ might be "the holly grail". There is a kind of paid submission to dmoz ... but you don't pay to be listed....
