I love dogs, they are my passion. I love doing flyball, agility, obedience, and just goofing off and snuggling with my dogs!I was born in Chicago, Illinois, back in 1967. I'm just glad I can say I was a 60s child. I lived there until I was 7 and my parents decided to move myself and my sister to Utah. I've lived in Salt Lake City Utah ever since. I work for the State of Utah Government so moving isn't an option. Though I can possibly retire toward the end of 2013. I don't want to jinx it by saying anything about it though!I started working for the State of Utah in August of 1988. I started in the Welfare Department determining financial, medical and food stamp benefits. After 9.5 years of that, I got pretty burned out. I went to the Salt Lake Community College and got my AAS in Computer Science. I was able to get a new job with the State of Utah as a programmer in 1997. Keeping all my retirement and leave and seniority benefits.After a lifetime living with dogs, in 2000 I got my first smooth blue collies. I started training them in agility in 2004. Soon I was hooked. While Lucy didn't like it much, Levi loved agility. We did agility for years before I retired him when he was 9 years old. I married a wonderful man in 2003. We have fostered many rescue dogs over the years, keeping a few of them who were hard to place into homes, or were returned. I did agility with Chase, our border collie. And Tatum, our rescue smooth sable collie girl. I also do flyball with Chase and Jet. Jet is our Danish-Swedish Farmdog I imported from Sweden in 2009. I do obedience with Chase, Jet, and did some with Levi too. I hope to expand my dog sports to dock diving, tracking, herding, and go to ground, someday when I have lots of time and money!We live in our cozy little house in Millcreek, Utah, with all our dogs. No human kids, though, and we are too old for them now. We are happy with the fur kids we have.
