    Changing Meta Tags - Penalization?

    Hi Will a website get penalized if you change the meta tags of its pages once they have origionally been indexed for a while? Thanks

    Just wait a little.It might take a couple of weeks or months as search engines are unpredictable.Same thing happend to me for 2 of my websites.

    Yeah - this sort of behaviour is common with new websites which jump in and out of the google index and it can also happen to established ones.

    Google Penalize Duplicate Meta Tags?

    But will it cause a penalization of any sort? After reading elsewhere it does not seem to be that much of a problem.
