    Yesterday for a period of a few hours, you may have been unable to find the site or content you were looking for on Google Search. Google said it had an issue with some navigational queries and site commands.

    Google has brought back the Twitter carousel in the Google search results last night. It was removed after Twitter had an embarrassing hack back on July 15th or so. Four days later, Google brought back the feature after doing a security review on its end.

In short hackers pushing a crypto scam hijacked Twitter accounts for Bitcoin, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Ripple, Binance, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Apple, and many more.     I use the Structured Data Testing Tool daily to validate structured data on client sites and frequently play with a blob of JSON-LD until I get just the right nesting.

    Over the past couple of days, maybe starting around July 6th but continuing on through today, July 8th - I am seeing some signs of a Google search ranking algorithm update. The chatter is there but it is more limited, maybe only impacting a smaller group of sites or a smaller niche. The tools, most are not showing much but SEMRush is showing a blip.
