    Last week Google announced that it was going to deprecate the Structured Data Testing Tool in lieu of the newer Rich Results Test.

    I use the Structured Data Testing Tool daily to validate structured data on client sites and frequently play with a blob of JSON-LD until I get just the right nesting.

    Because of that I long ago developed a Structured Data Testing Tool bookmarklet. I mean, who has time to copy a URL, go to another tab and paste that URL into the tool and hit enter?...

    Over the past couple of days, maybe starting around July 6th but continuing on through today, July 8th - I am seeing some signs of a Google search ranking algorithm update. The chatter is there but it is more limited, maybe only impacting a smaller group of sites or a smaller niche. The tools, most are not showing much but SEMRush is showing a blip.

    It is time for the monthly Google Webmaster Report where I sum up the more important organic Google topics for SEOs and webmasters. The big news is that Google had some unconfirmed algorithm updates and one was big that had a larger impact on government sites. Google is going to be removing counterfeit goods from organic search.     Over the past couple of days, starting as early as Wednesday, but most on Thursday, June 18th, I am seeing some signs of a Google search ranking algorithm update. It is not a massive one but there was an increase in SEO community chatter along with some tools showing signs of changes in the Google search results.
