I happen to read one of your replies so I thought that you are the best person to answer my query.

I have developed a application like orkut and am looking forward to host it on my college campus. Users expected will be around 3200. Out of which maybe 600 or more could be active at any given point in time. The concurrent transactions could be upto 300 per instance.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic with LAMP and have developed the application on PHP. The db is MySQL. I need to understand that what kind of hardware architecture i uses that can support more users in case i want to scale the application on a global scale. Can you guide me on the same.

In case down the line i want to make this a commercial application in the next six months how should my architecture be.

Really Thanks for your reply. actually there is no DBA persons in our company in china!! Only 2 Software related persons in our company. me and another guy!! when we use Replication method means wheather we need DBA's for Watch data tranfer and other things. right i'm in chennai came here for my visa extension. so i need clarify my doubt about fixing DB. Do u have links for documents to learn about this. If u r in chennai i'm ready to meet u or else do have any friends in chennai means kindly referr them i will meet them and clarify my doubts... looking for ur reply
