For many years (since 1996 to 2009) I had the privilege of working to the very best web design agencies in the world. During that time I built a portfolio of websites for brands like Sony, Blue Cross, Ebay, Panera Bread, Briggs and Stratton, and many many more familiar names. I’m very proud of the work I did for these companies and the agencies I worked for. As a young man, adding these names to my resume was very fulfilling. I was passing all the expectations I could have imagined for myself. Around 2008 though I had a gnawing in my soul. Sure I was adding great names to my resume and was earning praise and monetary gain but I knew there must be more important things in the world. I wanted to really help people. I came to the conclusion that the skills I acquired would be much more beneficial to smaller companies. I wanted to become a trusted part of peoples businesses, people who I knew by name. I wanted to be thought us as an integral part of other peoples success. So I made the leap and went out on my own.
This was a very scary and exciting time in my life. I went from a consistent high salary to consistently hunting and gathering. I needed to reprove myself all over again. In short it was the best decision I’ve ever made in business life and one of the best in my personal life as well. I quickly gathered a few key clients, mom’s and pop’s that were excited about building their own businesses but needed a trusted technical counterpart. These small clients allowed me to advise and nurture them into real and successful companies. Companies that I’m honored to be a part of. Companies that are part of my legacy. I can proudly look and them and say “I did that” and they can look at me as an integral part of their success.
If you are someone who has a dream to build a business on the web but are unsure of any of your technical decision and are looking for someone to become that trusted technical business partner for years to come, I’d be honored to work with you.
