well... the bit the covers the top half of the text is easy fixed, you have to do a clipping mask, looks like you already know how to do...

yeh all the logos there are pretty nice, with a bit of color they could be great, i think number 3 is the best though!

yeh i agree the blue needs to be a bit paler, maybe the green a little darker to create small contrast
