Film maker (ok, so they are just mountain biking movies, but I love making them!). Teacher. Coach. Online marketing and social networking expert. I am Canadian, born in Langley, BC and now a resident of Encinitas, CA. Moving here was a childhood dream come true as I LOVE the sunshine! I started in business at age 11 with a paper route. I have started several companies, the most successful of which was www.dyrandsystems.com, which I sold in 2008 after running it for 8 years. With the help of my staff, Dyrand was fortunate to win a few awards for exceptional growth and I was chosen as one of the Top 40 under 40 businesspeople in Vancouver in 2007. It took me three attempts to get on that darn list, so its something I'm very proud of Dyrand was the first company that I started that had investors and I'm very happy to say that they earned a 3X return on their money in less than 5 years. That is something else that I'm also very proud of because helping other people to succeed is a very important part of achieving my own success. There are five laws that I do my best to live by. They are: #1 The Law of Value - my true worth is determined by how much more I give in value than I take in payments. #2 The Law of Compensation - My income is determined by how many people I serve and how well I serve them. #3 The Law of Influence - My influence is determined by how abundantly I place other people's interests first. #4 The Law of Authenticity - The most valuable gift that I have to offer is ME. #5 The Law of Receptivity - The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving. I have always been a very competitive person and have raced motocross, downhill mountain bikes, and cars in my life. Suffice to say, I'm completely hooked on things that go fast. Don't really know why I am...I guess it was just in the family genes. My specialties include: online marketing, social media, sales, negotiation, finance, and fun. I try to have as much of that last one as I can as often as I can. Thankfully, I am blessed to do something that I LOVE, so I have fun most every day. Ciao!
